Hi, guys! I have a problem with zenity --warning. I have a "Fat server" and Thin Clients(TCs) linked to it. Students does log in on TCs when I apply time for them. I have one box(zenity --warning) with a message:"3 minutes to shutdown. Please, save your documents." and I don't get it to appear at Thin Client. This message must appear in students's displays when there is 3 minutes to ...

We manage HP Thin Clients (t5000 series) using Altiris Deployment Solution 6.9 SP3. I am looking to import them into CMDB on NS6 using the eXpress-database as data source. Is there a simpler or better built-in way of doing this? I have created "Thin Client" as a new asset type in CMDB and used "Network Resource" as "Base Resource Type". I would like to add the Data Classes "AeX HW ...

What would cause the HP Device Manager to only detect about one quarter of my HP Thin Clients. I've tried to the two IP discovery methods. I just set up the DHCP 202 option to see if that would help but not sure if these other two methods did not work. Anything block the HP Device Mananger from doing discoveries on Thin Clients?

A Q to the heavier enterprise IT dopers from us little guys. I just had a customer get pitched hard by a friend about the joy of thin clients for his new office install. I have zero experience in this type of installation and am having a hard time finding resources on what kind of server infrastructure is involved and the cost attached. The current scenario is the customer needs 14 ...

hi, i have been considering a switch from traditional desktops due to terrible hardware integrity and bad after sales.. wondering if anyone has ever worked in an environment where they ran Photoshop, Flash, Maya etc on server accessed by thin clients across the network... i hope this isnt too technical.
