Gow2 theme songs HEROIC ASSAULT! the best theme to any game i have ever heard (original tetris song comes close) is it just me, or did the guy they hired to make their themes seem like he had died, gone to heaven, and came back and started playing music that he heard there? ...

Why were 1960s TV theme songs so good? Or am I just old? It seems so mahy of the 1960s TV theme songs were so good. Why don't they do this any more? This got triggered by me watching "It Takes a Thief" on the Retro Channel last night. I'm not saying it's a great theme song. But it's kind of catchy. Not bland like so many TV theme songs now...

Both themes to The Bob Newhart Show , the 1970s version, some great tunes by Patrick Williams, who apparently did most of the MTM 70s sitcoms (except for WKRP ). The first rendition has a piano breakdown that could be used for a cue along the lines of a contestant intro. The closing five bars would make a sweet victory cue, and remind me a lot of the closing stinger for the contestant ...
