My three month old setter pup seems to love water. When i turn the sprinkler on at night, he goes diving in loving every minute of it. Is it common for Setters to love water like that? I have taken him to small lakes in my area, and he has no fear of that either.

I was looking for either a pup or mature dog. I was able work out adopting the Brittany from Rattler on an earlier post though. I appreciate the replys. English setters are great though noy many around anymore.

I think the getting wet thing goes from dog to dog. I have had three setters and two of them loved the water. My male that I have now will only get his feet wet. My female is a different story, she plows right in and lays down. You would thonk she was a lab.
