Hope these not already posted? so proud to have read 2 books lol! I really am not a reader (belong to a bookclub because i love the members and love their cakes!) BUT two books I have just read and I could NOT put down were both by Khaled Hosseni - The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns. If you have not read them do - they are both "big" reads but fantastic reads.

its like one of the best fiction books i have ever read. and gives a very beautiful pic of Afghanistan. I'm just in the middle of the novel. and like it already.

I am on vacation and just finished The Blood of Flowers by Anita Amirrezvani.  It's a historical fiction about a young woman in the 17th century in Iran.  If you liked the Kite Runner .. this book is similar, but not so harsh. I liked how the author tells the story and weaves fables within the story.  Only thing that I didn't groove on was the ending - which is a fable.  I had hoped...
