T-rays are more penetrating than X-rays and are likely to replace the latter in locating terror bombs or illegal drugs, says new research. Alexey Belyanin, associate professor in physics and astronomy at Texas A&M University, is focusing on terahertz, otherwise known as THz or T-rays, which he specifies is the most under-developed and under-used part of the electromagnetic spectrum. ...

Dr. Teig, in your opinion do you think that digital x-rays are more accurate or the traditional film strips are more accurate? My second question is, when checking for cavities, when a dentist uses an "explorer" to check for cavities, if nothing is sicking to the tooth or the filling, is that a sure way of telling there's no cavities present? I think the Lyrica is helping... either that or the Metanx is. My leg pain was really, really bad right after surgery and now it's definitely more manageable. I was on 75mg 2x a day but now he changed it to 150 mg 2x a day. You should look up Metanx and ask your doctor about it. My pain management doc even takes it himself for his slipped discs that cause nerve pain. Apparently it's concentrated ...

X-ray technology has advanced to the point that they can make different substances show up ijn different colors now. Through computers and graphic the difference in density can be made to show up in red, brown, blue, etc. It is these different colors that alert them to look deeper. Also they can alter the strength of the x-ray to not go all the way through things.

safety issues with Terahertz radiation have not been settled. it still has a long way to go before it comes into everyday use, if at all it does. http://www.technologyreview.com/blog/arxiv/24331/
