How will I know if Elavil is causing me urinary retention? What does retention feel like? I am taking about 12mg per day. Not sure if this is enough to cause retention though. I don't have urgency/frequency. I have discomfort in my urethra and vagina.

How has Elmiron helped you? Did the pressure/pain in your bladder/urethra get better? Did the frequency start to diminish? Elmiron seems to help many ICers but all in different ways. I think it mainly helps with pain and pressure. Did it also help your frequency? --Am supposed to take Elmiron, but feel I need to get more information out it before I start.
