Hey all -- I'm a usually OneWorld flier, but I'm thinking of accruing some US miles through the recent holiday promotion. I've been reading this thread with some interest, mainly to get a sense of the value of my miles. I know that one thing that's been discussed on-and-off is the question of which cities, exactly, are *A hub ...

Quoting ThegreatRDU ( Reply 23 ): Ethiopian was added to solidify Africa not SN ..... ET isn't a Star Alliance member yet. They're being considered for future membership. If approved, possibly sometime in 2010, it will likely still take at least another year before they become members due to all the requirments to align computer systems etc.

It may be in the T&C's but only Miles & More seem to insist on it. Asiana has specifically not credit my flight to my new Asiana account and I am about to send the BP somewhere else! Thai will match you based on a flight in the future, as long as the e-ticket is for a flight prior to 15/12. Not sure about the rest.
