I just received these three films from amazon. I got the Criterion version of Vampyr, the Kino version of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, and the MGM Special Edition of The Serpents Egg. Vampyr: AMAZING! I can't believe how effective and creepy this flick is. I thought it was soooo much better than Browning's Dracula. I've only seen a crappy version of Nosferatu, which brings me to. . . ...

My thank you gift to all of you who posted community deals this year or who gave the heads-up about the $154 Asus EEE 900's earlier this year. Burmese pythons in Santa hats continue to be underutilized as holiday icons so I decided to corner the market, right here. I'm fairly certain this is the silliest holiday photo you'll see. http://thesnakesmommy.blogspot.com/2009/12/its-beg inning-...

So the director or the writer think gods, sea serpents, amazons and the like are lame and that he's going to get rid of them because he wants more "realism". Realism. REALISM??? Excuse me, Sir, but the Illiad and Odissey do have gods, sea serpents, amazons and the like. If you adapt it, you have to put them in. If you want to do a "realist" portrayal of what the sack and ruin of real ...

Hi all, Just digging through all my spare gear for the animals....mats,stats,substrate,tanks etc. and I came across a big bag of ground walnut grit.I have no idea when I got it or why. Don't think I would have bought it for the serpents or frogs so I am at a loss. Any ideas what it is normally used for ? Thanks Paul
