Had a similar problem with Schwab when placing trades over 999,999 shares. To make a long story short, the best solution I found was to use the TeleBroker access for Schwab. It's an automated telephone # you call to place trades for any number of shares. It does NOT charge me any extra broker-assisted fees.

I primarily use Charles Schwab ($8.95 per trade) and really like everything about them. Customer service is good, both online and at the branch offices. Additionally, their linked Charles Schwab Bank High-Yield Checking and Savings accounts (currently paying .75% for checking and 1.05% for Savings)are a great place to keep excess funds. FDIC insured, ATM access and VISA debit card (if ...

Yes, used Schwab and Etrade. Both take on-line orders. I have had no problems with executions - many times I've bid over the offer and gotten filled at the offer price, even on large (half million+ size orders), and usually fairly quickly. Of course, that was a year ago, I don't know if a similarly sized order would fill as quickly these days.... M78

Dolphin, I use Schwab. You can simply place the order online. I have traded SRSR for about 9 months, probably 12 times or so, every time without a problem. still 8.95 a trade.

Schwab isn\'t a recruit that is talked about a lot on this board but his size is very intriguing. With his size & experience on the JuCo level playing against slightly bigger bodies compared to say a S. Henderson or other players coming out of hs, do you think he\'s a guy that could come in and play right away similar to what Loni was able to do? What position do you think he\'s best suited for ...

I am pretty new to this index stuff. I read Jack's Common Sense on Investing and I like it. What do you guys think about the new Schwab ETF's? No transaction costs, very low expense ratios, sounds too good to be true. What are the downsides?

If one decides to open a brokerage account with Schwab and wants to purchase TIPS and a Total Bond index what are the best options? I know Rick Ferri has suggested in the past that ETF's are not his first choice for the fixed income side. So the Vanguard TIPS and BND ETF's are out. Can you still purchase Vanguard bond mutual funds through Schwab? Are there better options at Schwab from a cost/...

Maybe Charles Schwab Trust Co LTD is in the basement of the house. ;-) Financing is financing wherever it's from. I hope they didn't get usurious rates. [image]img687.imageshack.us/img687/1663/837whisper fallsln.jpg[/image]

I am with Schwab. I called them @ the end of the day Friday and told them to look at the amount of shares traded today. They flipped out and some were seriously going to check RMDM out for themselves. And these are people who laugh @ Pinks!!!!!!!!!!

Opinion on Schwab ETFs. Schwab started a few ETFs with very low expense ratios and no commissions for Schwab clients. There are still no sector ETFs just broad market large and small cap and a broad international fund. Being a Schwab client I thought these would be ideal for trading in AIM programs as they have no commissions. But on second thought, being broad market funds they're not going to ...
