Nein, können sie nicht. Ab Wiederbrutbeginn nach der Wintersonnenwende wird dringend Pollen gebraucht - die Bienen haben KEINE andere Eiweißquelle. Und ohne Eiweiß kein Aufbau neuer Organismen. Theres a plastic guard clipped into the same place where the front of the pollen filter clips into. Makes it easier to reach into the back and check that the back clips are in. It is hard to do the rubber cover. I just keep wiggling it about

Well hell I'm a stoner. If the auto-flowering plants are finished before the others are even in to flower I would not think that the pollen would stick around that long. Rain and wind should disperse it enough to not have a problem.

soon as pollen gets wet its a done deal, so you should be alright even the moisture in the air will degrade it enough, if you are worried spray down room and plants with plain water

@Gartenimker, Danke für deine Antwort, hätte mich auch gewundert so wie die Eibe anfliegen. Der Pollen scheint aber schwer aufzunehmen zu sein, beim Landen auf den Dolden staubt es mächtig. Gruss beehead

I don't know if it works with pollen of Aloe. It works with pollen of many cactus species, but not with all. I think it's better to just collect the pollen of the Aloe and freeze those instead of the whole flower which contains too much moisture. Jordi

I find that nutrients are very often not all that necessary with apples, depending on the apples. I've never tried bee pollen, but somebody in a thread here posted a link to a page with an analysis of bee pollen. It's been talked about in a few threads here. I've used raisins in mead, mostly for tannin and flavour, but I'm sure they helped the yeast out a bit. I don't really think they would ...
