With Kenny saying that Pods will not be back and the Sox have now bought out Jermaine that means that for now all 3 starters in outfield from the 2005 World Series Champion Chicago White Sox are gone (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif ) Persoanlly I thought that was a fun group of guys to watch!

Gardner batted .275 before injuring his thumb...my question to you all is would a .280 average, 35+ stolen bases, .360 obp be too little to warrant keeping him instead of acquiring another outfielder? to me, whatever offensive dropoff those stats imply are counterbalanced by going from a very subpar fielder to an above average fielder and the notion of bringing up one of our own for a much ...

Even with missing all the time he did, Cuddyer is first in runs saved with his arm for RFs...with 25 (and 24 Kills). Even funnier, is that Delmon Young ranks 6th with 14 runs saved in RF (and 14 kills)...even though he only has 1 year of time in RF...

No surprise here -- Dan Uggla is attracting interest from the Orioles, Red Sox and Giants, according to Fox sports . The Orioles and Giants have indicated the strongest interest, according to the rumor mill at the general managers' meetings in Chicago. Baltimore would move Uggla to third base while the Red Sox have thought about putting him in the outfield.

The Tigers announced yesterday that Tom Brookens would be the new first base and outfield and base running coach. Brookens is an organizational soldier and it's nice to see him get the opportunity to don the Old English D again. But it does raise the question about the qualifications or importance of positional coaches. More...

Speed, power, youth? He's better than anyone we got in the outfield right now. If we can't get Bay in the bay, I say Rios is a viable option. His OBP and AVG were down in 2009, and he's a bit pricy, but if we can't sign one of these marquee guys, I wouldn't mind scooping up Rios and taking my chances. Most sf writers agree that the Giants will most likely need to get lucky by signing a ...

Buster Olney reports that Javier Vasquez is available via trade, and are most likely looking for a right handed bat in the outfield. I hate the idea of sending Matt Kemp, so do the dodgers have enough in the farm to deal for this guy? Havent seen him pitch in a while but from what i hear he was one of the four best pitchers in the NL last year. What do you guys think?
