Well, I have an early steering wheel that I need a hub made for. I have a drawing, taper shaft and keyway cutter. But, it seems the machine shops here in town don't care that it's a 50 dollar part. They want 250 bucks to make it! Anybody out there have a lathe at home that can make this for me with out rapeing me in the process? Any help would be appreciated. It's for my wife's 61 double ...

I saw GJ's 'Franzdom' had a Starret set for sale on the classified board. They are sold, but I was curious what they are used for. Marking radius corners on metal? Or is that too obvious? I'm not a machinist and I have limited fabrication experience. Sorry for the newbie question!

I noticed it had a miss to it right away. Took it to a very well known mechanic and had him scan it. He said it showed #7 cylinder misfire. Driving home it shuts off, I get it to crank back up ...

The Machinist, which was fantastic. 10/10 Liked it better than American Psycho. Equilibrium was one of those movies with a great plot, but stupid and over-the-top action. Like The Matrix, which I gave a 1. This was a little less stupid though (no flying) so I give it a 3/10. Rescue Dawn is next, but it's a PG-13 WAR MOVIE. How should I feel about this? The best thing to come out of ...
