Hi there I read this article in today's The Independant on Sunday. It opens our eyes about environmental issues going on around us on a daily basis. Simple facts about our wildlife, and what each animal has to endure to survive at the hands of human beings - either good or bad. Plenty of food for thought with the reading material as it covers all aspects of wildlife Crime, and material ...

31 years ago tomorrow an invading Vietnamese army reached Phnom Penh the capital of Cambodia, They chased Pol Pot into the mountains and told him if he came down they'd kill him. The Vietnamese lost some 30,000 personnel in an war that had little benefit to them other than stopping the slaughter of Cambodian civilians. As for us good guys? Well we covered ourselves in perpetual glory by ...

Probably should say "roads" instead. To give you an idea of why I worry not just about bikes but also pedestrians in our area. This is just one highway, the main drag through Glen Burnie, but I suspect the Quarterfield to I-97 will soon catch up to it, especially since it's even more deficient in sidewalks and squeezed road area. One reason I've never let my girls ride bikes outside...

Certainly America has an obsession with male circumcision. At the same time, we abhor female circumcision. Quite the contradiction! Female circumcision is decried as to the risks and damage but in South Africa, male circumcision is a literal killing field and it has been for years. Little is known about this by the populace here. There is little outcry about it while the outcry against ...

The death toll now stands at 23, more than one per day and 82 for the year. Generally, the toll is up to 100 young men per year but it is apparent this year will set a new standard. The government has passed a law that all of the circumcisers take some training to become legal yet there are young men being killed at...
