Got my top apart and starting to fit it to the car. on the aluminum plates, what goes in the 3/4"ish shallow grooves going from front to back? I've seen some pics where it looks like a black strip of something... other build pics have nothing in it. Is it some sort of stick on foam weatherstrip?or just leave it off? thanks!

All off my grooves sound awesome in the minor pentaonic and dorian mode.. Is this bad? I cant seem to get the same feel in other modes that i get from these ... I just play funk all day long... But i feel like i have enormous variations cause of different rhythm.. As far as funk goes i feel like the other modes are unfunky (besides maybe mixolyian a little)

Grooves ? Okay, I have searched....and searched....and just accepted these as the way they are....but I can't stand it any more....I have to know.... Hi there, just been practicing some funk and hip hop type grooves, one thing I find quite difficult is playing a swung funk or hip hop groove! I can't seem to feel the notes I am playing to me it still sounds like I am playing straight eighth notes! I believe this is because it's not about music notation anymore, I think it's definatly a case of feeling these type of grooves! Any advice on any ...

Here's a little neck knife/utility blade i forged out of 3/4'' cable. It's approx.3/16'' thick and 5 1/16'' o.a., the blade is flat ground. the finger grooves all have been filed to give a no slip grip.
