Hi everyone, I would really appreciate some advice for our awkward family room. It's really giving me fits. We're wanting more seating than we currently have (seating for 6 at least). We don't want the tv above the fireplace or on the built in cabinetry. We actually like the sofa back to the windows b/c it offers a barrier between us and the outdoors - neighbors, cars driving by, etc.. So, ...

The rug I ordered last week from Overstock came in today--pretty quickly too considering I'm still waiting for the one I ordered about 3 weeks ago from Rugs USA for DS's room. I moved the existing rug to under the kitchen table and put the new rug in the family room. It's a different look than I had before going to the lighter rug. What do you folks think? I need to take some ...

Hi there, I still can't decide on pillows for family room! I'm heading to my parents in FL for Christmas & would like to decide so I can have shipped to their address rather than shipping to CA:) I love the 2 Thomas Paul Coral pillows, but not sure if the Grey(Dove) or Indigo would be better with the BM Beacon Gray wall colour. Also-found this 'Blossom' print that I like too. (it's a pale ...

delta: Forgot to mention that the green is pretty subdued--the edging is in tan--not green. Only green is in leaves. The background is a combo of ivory/gold, depending on the light. The overall effect is muted which may be what you are looking for in your bedroom since many thought the leaf rug too vibrant. Going back to comparision of this rug with my LR rug, I'd say the main difference is my LR...

Oh my, thank you, thank you, for all of the lovely comments on my room and new rug. I was a tad underwhelmed when I first saw the rug because the colors are more muted, even though that is what all of the feedback on O said about this rug. I guess it's just a contrast to what I had before, so I decided to put it there and let it sit with me a few days plus see what everyone here had to say about ...
