OK, maybe that's a bit too strong, given the very capable DSLRs out there. But, IMHO, the LX3 certainly is the best non-DSLR camera for that use (providing you can get fairly close to the stage). And, many times the LX3's images of stage productions are actually better than you would get from a DSLR, because of the incredible
depth-of-field. A photo I took last evening provides a good example...
