I've had an intermittent problem with my GE Adora DSS25KSRD for the last 6 months. We first noticed that the ice was thawing and dripping in the freezer. It would return to normal freezing temperatures and then again start thawing the ice to the point that it would melt a full bin in a couple of hours. The problem has become more frequent and we've noticed the food in the top shelves in the ...

Sure hope all the freezing Lizzies are thawing out today. There is a fire roaring in the fireplace, extra quilts stacked up next to the big comfy chairs, and nice warm oatmeal, cream of wheat, and grits with all the fixings. Fresh juice to give you some sunshine, and hot beverages (plus one coolatta) are standing by. Maybe we should just do some ...

So I know that you can leave thawed milk in the fridge for 24 hours. But my question is (and I'm sorry if this has been covered) when does the 24 hours start? If I leave the milk in the fridge it doesn't thaw on its own that quickly. If I set it out in warm water that obviously thaws it much quicker, and then I can use it within 24 hours of it coming out of the freezer. Thanks!

Have anyone encounter things like this? A cell line from ATCC was thawed. When we put the cell vial into a water bath (37C), suddenly, the cell vial was burst and broken into pieces. The broken is just like the plastic vial can not stand for the expand with hot (water bath)when it is transfer from cold (liquid nitrogen) suddently. It is so horrible.

woke up yesterday morning to 3 inches of snow and it snowed all day long. Today it;s yellowy sunlight but not thawing. It's very pretty. My baubles hanging on the peach tree look fabulous and don't bother the birds at all - they still come in droves to the feeder. I suppose I shall be fed up with the snow sooner rather than later but the first snow of winter is always a novelty! Cheers Z

well, tomorrow's the big day. Today was the last of Murphy's kibble. I've got chicken quarters and breasts thawing on the counter (will put them in the fridge before bed). Should I feed him raw in the morning for his normal meal? Or fast him in the morning and begin him on the raw at dinner? I've read conflicting opinions about whether or not to fast before switching. thanks!

Some of us that went to South Dakota hunting this year got together this weekend and made a little sausage. I think my hands are just now thawing out. Friday night and Saturday's weather was great for smoking and drying.

Does anyone know if the calcium chloride or rock salt is safe to use around where chickens might be? I really need to use something around the doors to the coop as we have had quite a bit of sleet and then thawing and freezing. The chickens would not be at those spots all the time but they might have to pass through it from time to time. I just need to be sure what is safe and what is not. ...

I HAVE ICEMAKER ISSUES!!! My icemaker is not making ice. 2 weeks ago it wouldn't dispense ice, but it produced ice. I fixed it a couple of times by thawing it out (once w/ hairdryer, once with hot water) and it worked fine for a couple of weeks. Now it is not producing ice! Help!
