I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. No one in my family knows about my surgery so on Thanksgiving I had a bit of everything (small portion under the guise of watching my weight). The only thing I didn't have was desert. I was able to eat mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, stuffing, mac n cheese, green bean casserole and gravy. The problem is I feel as though since then my pouch ...

There I said it. OMG I waited all year for delicious thanksgiving dinner and every bit of it sucked except the cheesecake that I brought with me. BUMMER! I hope everyone else had a great Thanksgiving.

Here is a shot of our friends the Kings and us at Thanksgiving dinner. From left to right, Charlie King, me, Bobbie and Jan King. Charlie retired from Siemens Corp after a 40 year career. We are at the corner table of our clubhouse dining room and those Robellini Palms are just beautiful. We have a half dozen of them in our yard. And the taller palms on the left are Queens.

We are going to our DD and her family for Thanksgiving. I would like to say a prayer; I want to say something about our forefathers and the freedom we enjoy today. They wrinkle up their noses about the Pilgrims and have their own liberal views about that. :( I feel we may lose our freedom to worship how we want; the 1st and 2nd admendment rights abolished. We are losing soooo many ...

I am just curious as to what parts of your Thanksgiving dinner you think it would be ok for a baby to have. I have a jar of turkey and cranburry baby food for my son but would like to give him some finger food from the table too. Can babies have cranberries in any form? Do you think stuffing without salt would be ok? I am assuming that meat without gravy and mashed potatoes would be fine.
