I have a Windows 2003 Server that is running Terminal Services. It has the licensing installed and the license manager is activated. The server issues temporary licenses but will not issue the regular licenses to any clients. The regular licenses show up in the license manager as available but they are never issued to the clients. We have tried reinstalling the licenses and reactivating the ...

I would like to run CS4 on a windows 2008 64 bit terminal server to support 5-10 concurrent users. Does anyone have any experience doing this? How does it work? My remote users could be on VPN or across a T-1 MPLS network. Any suggestions on Hardware CPU Memory graphics etc.. Thanks

We have three TS 2008 servers using session broker. People are complaining that the default printer keeps changing. We make sure they log off correctly so it's saved to their profile, cannot see any errors but when they log back in, it's changed to a local print queue e.g pdf creator. I have been using folder redirection and thought that maybe causing it but it doesn't look like it. I have been...

I have a couple Windows 2008 Terminal Servers, both have Office 2007 installed. These servers were working fine two weeks ago, and then started having an error when starting Outlook. And the error happens on both servers, for all users. When opening Outlook, it displays an error stating that Outlook could not connect to the Exchange server, and you are prompted to Retry, Work Offline, or Cancel...

Patrick: I will take a look at the links you send me to see if they can help. I am considering trying to create a VBScript that does it, but don't know if it's possible. And this would be a really nice GP Preference, can't see why it isn't already a part of the GPO/GPP settings. Guy: I already use the self-made RDF file, but that still requires me to send out a new file if we change anything. I...

We have just built a new Terminal Server 2008 and installed Office2003 onto it for client and we observer a behaviour of the office menu's leaving ghosted trails on screen if you slide from one drop down menu to another as you go across the menu bar. It is part of the menu outline 'outer glow or shadow' that is not being cleared, either part of a side or base. The Server is fully up to date...

I have a terminal server 2008 running in a work group. it has valid usercals installed, along with per device cals (they got installed in the wrong setting) I want it to hand out the per user cals, i've specified this in local policy but it is still handing out per device cals. was hoping for a way to disable the per device cals, or leave them there unused, but most importantly start handing ...

I have used it on Terminal Server, the only issue I ever have is that on occasion you have to re-enter the control unit IP and username, etc. Other than that it works fine.

Hi Jeff, restarted the server last night, and this morning i could log in fine, very strange, not sure why it would only have affected 2 of us, and it was machine specific because i could log in from my laptop at home. Marked As Answer by RhysDavies Friday, November 06, 2009 8:50 AM

Thanks for the answer I spoke to a support person today and they explained I could run Indesign CS4 but would have to purchase a volume license. Yes, but only if every person who is accessing it has a license. What are the differences between Indesign Server and Indesign CS4. An awful lot of money! (Seriously, Server is missing the UI, and is optimized for ...
