Hi forum family, I had my RPLND just under 2 weeks ago and I am feeling pretty good. Still trying to get my full appetite back and a bit sore but all in all, feel good. The only bad thing is they took out 55 nodes and found mostly Teratoma with a tiny bit (

My husband was diagnosed two weeks ago and just had his right testicle removed last week. The path shows 50% embryonal, 40% yolk sac and 10% immature teratoma. Doc recommended rplnd right away but we are scared to death. Any suggestions?

Copied this from my cousin's FB status: BEST NEWS EVER!!! Jaxon's tumor was benign!!! He is healthy and fine!! The tumor was a Teratoma Tumor, made of skin, hair and bone cells. hi Guys, I have never posted a thread anywhere before, so I hope this works. Nov 24 had the left orchiectomy - path from IU came back (40% embryonal, 35% teratoma, 25% yolk sac). No VI. 1.9cm - negative CT, negative chest xray, blood markers came back to normal after only slight elevation over normal. 41 yrs, have kids, great supportive wife, fertility not an issue. thanks, this means I'm sure to be pN1 and possibly as high as pN2 in terms of tumor they found during the RPLND. After surgery, they did say that since it was all teratoma and that if the levels are low and not suspicious, that I'd be on observation. I guess if the Afp goes up that changes the game plan some, and they would start me on the BEP. Questions answered (seems like that ...
