Ford Mustang Belt Tensioner This replacement serpentine belt tensioner is just what you need to get your vehicle in good working order again! If you are hearing a whirring noise from the front of your engine or if your belt often screeches you may be in need of a new belt tensioner. This part commonly wears out between 60,000 and 70,000 Miles. If it fails suddenly it can leave you ...

Last night while changing my 3 belts on my 3.0 3VZE when I was applying tension on the belt the tensioner bolt it sheared. So I pulled the pulley/ stud out of the slide bracket and removed the broken bolt. I now need to know the size of the bolt. I measured it at Approx 3.5" long which is close to the 90MM length if converted to metric. I put a set of Mics on it and was getting a consisten ...

Hey guys. Ive got a screeching bearing noise coming the front of my 2.3. It seems to be coming from the alternator or the belt tensioner. I figured I would remove the belt, run the engine and see if the noise is gone. Is that idler pulley a common failure on these cars? I hope its not the alternator.

Yeah, I know I need to get a bentley, but I haven't had the car that long, and it's time for gaskets now. I have oil dripping on both sides. I searched and found 7ftlbs for the valve cover bolts, are the tensioner bolts the same? I don't like to guess torque on anything with crush gaskets. Thanks for any info.

Hey people, The tensioner for what tensions my alternator belt has sheared off, so the rear part of it has sheared off, so now my belt is a bit loose so it makes that horrible squealing noise for about 30seconds... I'm guessing as it's sheared off, it will have to be drilled out and re-threaded... Any idea of a cost or if that's not the case, what will happen or how to cure it?... Jae
