I am new to precisley measuring bores with telescoping gauges and micrometers. New CB h-beam rods, new Mahle STD bearings, torqued with flex-bar wrench to ~22 ft-lbs. Im only getting about half a mile with my rubber antenna. My buddies are getting about 2 miles out of theirs. I had a lot higher expectations out of this system. Mine is only about 3 weeks old. They have had theirs a year or so. Thanks, WES

Yeah I'd like to shoot for that .0025-.0038 range you describe. I don't know if that will be possbile by simply massaging these rods, we'll see. Those Berg rods/selling these is looking pretty good if I have to start seriously massaging the big end..
