Would teething pain cause an all-out food strike? DD ate & nursed very little r/o yesterday, then woke up twice last night (was fed), ate a massive breakfast this morning and nursed before her morning nap but has refused to nurse since (it's 4.15pm now). She has been crying a LOT this afternoon so I just gave her some Capol (like infant tylenol) and she's slowly eating some baby porridge now...

Any flower essences that might help DS with teething? It's REALLY bothering him but neither chamomilla straight, camilia nor Hyland's teething tablets really help at all. He reacted negatively to an amber teething necklace. Symptom wise he's very fussy (both in mood and eating), disrupted sleeping, constant hands in mouth/chewing hard on fingers or something else (and getting ...

how do i know if my LO is teething? he has suddenly changed some of his routines which made me worried. for a start he sleeps much longer as if he's more tired, not that i'm complaining ofcuorse but i'd rather he woke up more often if that's what's normal! i've stopped keeping an eye on feed frequencies and now it feels as if he's feeding less often, and also number of dirty nappies halved all of...

I wonder whether anyone can help. My son is just over 5 months old and showing all the signs of teething - flushed cheeks, dribbling, chewing etc. He's also been having more poos than usual and runnier, and has just got over a cold. The past few days he's been rubbing the back and sides of his head a lot as though it's hurting. He usually is whining while doing this, but we can distract ...

For the past few days Sam has been rubbing/holding his head - at the back and sides and around his ears. He usually does this when whingey, bored or tired or when his teeth/gums are bothering him. I'm pretty sure he's teething as he's chewing and dribbling lots and also looking flushed in the cheeks on and off. He had a cold recently, so I was concerned that it could be an ear or sinus ...

After a VERY difficult night with George I eventually tried some teething gel which instantly relaxd him and gave us all some sleep. How did you know your LO was teething? I was sure he couldn't be teething  so what can I expect now. His gums look the same to me - I can see slight bulges of teeth undrrthem but no redness or inflammation etc.... I can't feel anything cutting thru'...

I really need some advice. Phoebe used to be a perfect sleeper until recently when she developed a cold, this completely through her and she started waking twice during the night which was fine as I could resettle her. She is now over the cold but is teething, I think she has a back tooth coming through as she wont let her touch the gum and she is also chewing her fingers. Over the past few...

My soon to be four month old has been having lots of teething discomfort. She has been wanting to nurse constantly, I assume to help comfort herself. I am lucky that she is still gentle with my breasts, only gumming toys, her hands, my chin or anything else she gets a hold of. However, this increase in nursing during the day has ruined our nightime "routine". Before the nursing spree she was ...

Hi everyone hope all mums and babies are well! Lily has been chewing her fists constantly, literally every waking hour. It's not hunger, so could it be teething? I looked in her mouth and she has pale marks where teeth should come through but not sure if this is just the colour of her gums or if they are tooth buds. She seems to try and get the edge of her blankets in her mouth as well and ...

My LO is poping on and off and seems rather irritable at the breast during some feedings. I'm thinking that he's teething and he'll be getting a tooth in the next couple weeks or so- and I was wondering if perhaps this is what teething and breastfeeding looks like? It's quite frustrating, especially when we are NIP as he is so distractable and fussy while we are nursing, which makes me doubt if...

Has anyone had this experience? My son has never consistently slept all that well. He has his good days and bad days, but lately, he's been napping the same amount during the day but when I put him to bed, he wakes up about an hour later SCREAMING! Then he may or may not fall asleep again, then wakes up again. He seems to be in pain though. He's gnawing on EVERYTHING. I've given him ...

Help Needed....Teething Hi, my precious Chloe is now 3 mos. old. She turns into a "puppy on crack" for about 1 1/2 hours each night chewing & trying to bite me, the furniture, etc. I keep nylabones with me at all times to divert her attention from me to the bone. The next thing you know she is conked out and my little angel reappears. My question, how long does this stage ...

Parker has been trying to cut all four front top teeth at once for about a month now. A month ago it was swollen gums a little bit of fussiness, now his little gums look like a war zone. I've been giving him tylenol for a month! I can only see the little white dots coming through on the front two but I can see the outline of all four of them through the fronts of his gums and can feel all four ...

This is really bugging me at the minute. All around me, it feels like people are telling me how to look after my baby. I'm forever hearing "he's hungry" "he's tired" "he's teething" and I KNOW its not true. A few weeks ago I stopped to chat to a neighbour and Chaise started whingeing because we'd stopped moving and she said "he's got wind" then "he's hungry" and I calmly said "No he's not, he ...
