For my Taxonomy/Category 'Event Types' I want to create landing pages that take an associated set of fields for each taxonomy term and display them in panels/blocks based on an argument in the url. I have checked the taxonomy modules and I'm not completely sure of the best practice for associating the term and it's fields. If I used the category module, terms would be associated to a node...

Hi, I'm new in Drupal ... In my site, I associate a taxonomy term on each page that is created. For this, I enabled the checkbox "page" of "content types" group in my vocabulary form. I would also like to associate a term of this vocabulary on pages that are created automatically by the views module . Is anybody can give me an idea of how to do that ? Thanks for your help.

I have two Drupal 6 taxonomy vocabularies - Region and Service - which apply to a Service Provider content type. I used the Taxonomy Menu module to create a Primary Menu linking to all the Region terms, which seemed to be a good way to start. When a user selects a Region term, he will see all Service Providers tagged with that term. Now I want to provide a way to filter that by a term ...

Hi, I know you can get taxonomy term feeds using views but it gives me a path like this: http://drupal.org/taxonomy/term/70/0/feed I was wondering if there is a way to create a view or perhaps a module that can give me the following instead: http://drupal.org/taxonomy/term/syndication/feed or even better: http://drupal.org/terms/syndication/feed Many thanks in advanced

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I want to include the list of taxonomy terms from a single vocabulary at the top of a view. Clicking on the taxonomy term would filter the view by that term. This seems like something Drupal should do easily, but I'm not seeing it and am hoping someone will give me a nudge in the right direction. I know that views can provide Taxonomy: Term ...

Preface: Create a views2 block that displays all fields of nodes of specific type dynamically for that specific taxonomy. I have a website about old magazines. The picture of the magazine covers are nodes, the names of the publishers are taxonomy terms, and I'm using a view to display all the magazines by a specific publisher. The magazines currently display like this: Mag #1 Vol 1 No 1 Mag #1 Vol 1 No 2 Mag #1 Vol 1 No 3 Mag #2 Vol 1 No 1 Mag #2 Vol 1 No 2 Mag #2 Vol 1 No 3 Mag #3 Vol 1 No 1 Mag #3 ...

I have a vocabulary called "genres" which holds terms like Fiction, Non-Fiction, etc. for categorizing books. My Books content type has an image field that holds a book cover. Now, when I'm on a taxonomy listing page like /taxonomy/term/14 I want to be able to pull 3 random book covers, from nodes that are _on that page_, into a block. So if I have 100 nodes with that term (10 per page) ...

I don't even know where to start looking for this one, so I am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction. I have a few category terms set up at the same level in the taxonomy heirarchy. Authors (term 4) - Author #1 (term 39) - Author #2 (term 40) - Author #3 (term 50) When I do taxonomy/term/39 or taxonomy/term/50 - the page draws correctly with a nav bar on the ...

I am creating a content type where users can post textbooks they are selling. Textbooks posted can refer to multiple classes since the same textbook can be used in multiple classes. Each class has a class code which is usually 8 chars long, example: EMA3010C, PHY2049, CHM1046L, etc... So when users post a textbook they want to sell, I want them to be able to list all the class codes the...

Hello, I'd like to know if there's a way to set the orders of nodes that share the same vocabulary term, a little bit like the menu settings where you could set a weight for the node. Is it possible to do that and then have it order it that way with Views? (sort?)? Any suggestion on how to implement this are very welcomed!

Hi, I want to update the content on our Indian parenting website , KidandParent by adding a new section of around 30 articles. For this I have to add new primary links, menus, taxonomy, the articles themselves and update a few modules to support the new content. Since the system is live, I want to minimize the downtime and the risk that the changes will impact the overall system. How ...

Hi! I've been searching the net for ages without any solution to my problem. Here's the thing: I'm trying to make term-links go to "myview&tid=" instead of "taxonomy/term/" which is the default link in taxonomy.module. I'm trying to edit the function: function taxonomy_term_path($term ) to return 'myview&tid='. $term->tid; instead of the original value but the special characters...

Ok, My final question for this evening. :) I am working on a way to create a listing of the content submitted to my site, which allows users to contribute stories. These stories are then to be auto-published on the site. I've looked at the Taxonomy Menu Module, but it doesn't seem quite right. I believe I could create a view that lists all of the stories, but I am wondering if ...
