Currently, on my Windows Server 2008 box, I have a scheduled task that runs every night. The task shows the last run time as 1/6/2010 at 3:31 AM, but in the history tab, the latest history is 12/3/2009. I just created a new task, and set it to fire off. Upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 - Task Scheduler has error messages on start. "The selected task "0" no longer exists. When I "display running tasks" another error popup says "Catstrophic failure (Exception from HRESULT:0x8000FFFF (E_UNEXPEDTED)) At this point I really don't want to start over with a clean install! Suggestions welcome.

This is ____ me off. the task scheduler runs as set. It deletes about 7 shortcuts on my desktop, claiming they are broken shortcuts, which is not the case. So if i run a manual RUN MAINTANENCE TASKS, it has a check box to uncheck, APPLY REPAIRS AUTOMATICALLY. so if u uncheck it it will show u before it deletes these shortcuts and allows u to chose to do so. ok, but then that box it rechecked ...

Hi, I'm using SyncBack to automatically upload my Miranda dir to a ftp server. The program adds a task to the task scheduler to run the task according to my preferences. Currently, I've set it to run first on 2009-12-19 8:00 AM and then repeat every 7 hour. My problem is that the task is run almost every time I start my computer from sleep mode. from the looks of it, I am not running Windows Server 2008 R2, as I don't have a Enable All Tasks History. I tried searching around for that, finally found a screenshot of it, and definately not the same as what I have. However, this sounds exactly like what I need, so I will continue to search for that option prior to R2
