Since I've had my coralife skimmer I have been using RO water for top offs/water changes. Today I decided to try conditioned tap water. As soon as I poured in 1 gallon, my skimmer immediately started filling up. Never happens with RO water. Are you just not suppose to use tap with skimmers? Any one have any comments/advice on this? Thanks,

I have read that HIV is rendered inactive when in contact with regular Regular insulin tap water. Is this true, and if so, does anyone know of any scientific literature where this is proven?

How about if you have domestic hot water where your oil fired furnace heats up your hot water? Will that change your water profile. still no good? Maybe a filter before the HLT?
