Has anyone here used or know anything about Tangent Consoles? A search on Google revealed almost nothing. I believe they were a cheaper "pro" board from the 80s. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks! Johnny7

I need to find the equation of the line tangent to y = 9-x^2 where the tangent line passes through the point (1,12), it isn't on the curve itself. Obviously the derivative of the line would be y' = -2x so where must I go from here.

So I have this question on my assignment for bonus points (it's bonus because we haven't really covered the material yet).. Recall that the slope of the tangent line to a curve f(x) is given by limh->0 f(x+h)-f(x)/h. I have been colourgrading since the days it was invented and one of the biggest features I use is 'grade bypass'. This is very helpful when doing very subtle changes and switching between grade/ungrade to verify the settings. Using Color's 'ctl G' is a pain (but it works!) so I tried to program it into the Tandem Wave panel and it doesn't have a setting for it... or... maybe I am missing ...

I have mapped 'Toggle playback' to a function key. I use this in conjunction with 'Mark in' and 'Mark out' to 'loop playback' over a scene change. So when I have finished this 'loop playback' I need to go back to full timeline playback. But I have noticed that the GUI does not respond to the key command until I move my mouse. So in essence it still shows the 'Mark in' and 'Mark out' ...

I managed to get Windows 7 installed with a lot of cursing; however, now none of the Wild tangent games in the HP game console will play. I can open them and it looks like they will play but alas, my mouse doesn't work at all within the game. I know I should uninstall the game console and start all over again but when I got my system, there were no disks for this. Any idea what to do ...

Got a new laptop today running windows 7, was wondering if someone could tell me how to make a "CLEAN" back up of the HDD? I dont want all the extra bloatware (i.e. Norton Anti-virus, Wild Tangent Games, and all the manufacturers preinstalled crap) I just want the drivers and the OS. I have found sites that instruct me on how to do it running XP, but does anyone know how to do it on Win 7? ...
