I have an implicit equation.... (x^2)(y)+x(y^2)=2y and deriving it I came to... (2xy+(y^2))/(2-x^2-2xy). Hopefully I'm good up to here and then this is where it gets complicated with this question. Question: Find the slop of the tangent line at the point on the graph in the second quadrant with y co-ordinate=1. (So you have to find it's x co-ordinate first!) Don't I just plug in 1 for the ...

Ive been re-reading the original two batches of Tangent comics DC put out as a Fifth Week experiment some years back and really liking many of them. There's some good stuff by some good writers and artists mixed in there. Right now Doom Patrol and Nightwing are two of my favorites. Did anyone pick up the Superman Tangent Comics 12 issue series DC released not too long ago? Im curious ...

Find the equation of the tangent line to the function ln ( x^2 + 2x +3) at x=1 . what i have so far is m=(f'(X))= (2x+2)/ (x^2+5x+1) (2(1)+2)/ ((1)^2+5x+1) = 4/7 and then from there this is the slope now what?????

Hello - I've been stuck on this for a while now and I really need some help. 1. The problem statement, all variables and given/known data Find the equations for all lines that are tangent to the circle x^2+y^2=2y and pass through the point (0,4). 2. Relevant equations y=mx+b ax^2+bx+c=0 3. The attempt at a solution From the given equation ...

I know there alot of Math functions out there like Tan(angle) and things like that to calculate the tangent of the angle, and they work perfectly fine. But I would like to know the actual formula to calculate the tangent of an angle, while just having the angle. For example, I know the tangent of 45 is 1. But could someone show me the formula to calculate this?

Have you all seen this car? I picked one up recently, but its been put away for my Christmas present. Looks really nicely done, (I am not a freight car expert), is finely detailed and comes with metal wheels and Kadees (not clones). $28.95 seemed high, but not when you consider what you are getting. I had never heard of Tangent before, but will be paying attention! Bill

Ok this may be a tad bit lengthy, so I appologize beforehand, somtimes I get on a tangent. With the Samsung moment I have read its an aGPS issue and that its a software issue, I have also read that its a weak/crappy antenna wich would make it a hardware flaw. I use a lot of apps that use location base aka: gps location, to work and with the Moment gps I have to be outside with a clear view ...

I didn't want to derail the last thread by going off on a tangent, so I'm starting a new thread. This was mentioned: Regular old vitamin B3 is more effective and safer than statins when supplemented in dosages higher than you can get from food. There are several forms of niacin--does anyone know the best one to take to avoid going on a statin? I thought it was "flush-free niacin," but then...

I can not get rid of this Trojan Horse Dropper.Generic.BHHB. I've tried deleting my Temp files and that didn't work, I had downloaded Vuze and thought that it might have been the source and uninstalled it. I uninstalled the Wild Tangent games also along with Pando something. I have AVG free 8 and I keep getting warnings that my temp ...

Hello, I ran across this problem and want to make sure my answers are right. Consider the curve defined by x^2 + xy + y^2 = 27 . a. Write an expression for the slope of the curve at any point (x,y). b. Determine whether the lines tangent to the curve at the x-intercepts of the curve are parallel. Show the analysis that leads to your conclusion. c. Find the points on the curve where the lines ...

seems right so far, so since you have the slope and the x-value, find the y-coordinate by plugging in 1 for x in the original equation and then find the equation of the tangent line
