When I bought my 30D 3 years ago, I started with a tamron 17-50 2.8. Since I own a lens with IS (70-200 F4IS) I enjoy the IS feature and consider to sell the tamron and buy the canon. I have been playing with the new Tamron 17-50mm VC on my XTi for a few days now.
