Hi, Is anyone else having problems with their talktalk phone line? I have only been with them since Monday, I've had lots of little problems since. Today everyone on BT and mobiles are having problems getting through to me as they just get an engaged tone. My family and friends on talktalk are getting through ok. I have spent four hours on and off the phone to them trying to sort it...

From reading other posts on the forum a lot of people suggest Sky/O2 if wanting broadband via LLU and i'm just wondering why people avoid or don't mention TalkTalk. Is there a good reason for this? I hope not because im being moved to TalkTalk Pro on wednesday and Talktalks the only LLU on my exchange.

However, late February I moved house and it seems that this resets the contract counter. I paid 29.99 house move and the contract was started again meaning I am in ...

I've had Be* Broadband in my flat for 2 years and it's been faultless but I've just bought my first house (hurrah!) and the exchange at the new house only has TalkTalk/CPW as an LLU provider. I've got two options; 1) Go with a BT Wholesale ISP but to get the level of service I got with Be* I'd need to go with Zen or Fast.co.uk - both of which are pretty expensive. 2) Go with TalkTalk and ...

Just thought I should warn anyone thinking of switching to TalkTalk not to. I so wish I had not changed. I moved to NewNet from Nildram and discovered that once your son leaves school and starts night college and work that daytime bandwidth can just go through the roof (to the tune of 60gb). This caused large NewNet Bills and I'm now on O2 Access (8mb unlimited) package which is really badly congested at peak times (all weekend and evenings) Have a budget of £30pm (roughly) and I'm on ...

I have a SmartAX MT882 wired router which a friend gave me, after he had ditched TalkTalk. I wish to configure it to work on Plus.Net. I always thought that you couldn't send an email from a different ISP. i.e. We use eclipse internet at work and my boss at home uses talktalk. He's been told that if we get in contact with eclipse and give them his IP address of his home PC, eclipse will allow him to send emails over the eclipse work email. I always thought this wasn't possible....

My GF had talktalk at here last house and here we have Virgin Media. The talktalk let her call Sweden for nothing, but even with the pre-dial number thingy the bill for calls this month was £70, last month £95. Is there any other way apart for pre-dials and skype to save money on this?

Essentials is still an LLU package it's just capped at 8Mbit regardless of what you sync at You can also purchase a "Turbo Boost" which removes the 8Mbit cap so you get whatever your line syncs at - it's a good alternative to the Pro package if you just want a speed upgrade without the Wireless N Router and unlimited calls.
