Hi, Is anyone else having problems with their talktalk phone line? I have only been with them since Monday, I've had lots of little problems since. Today everyone on BT and mobiles are having problems getting through to me as they just get an engaged tone. My family and friends on talktalk are getting through ok. I have spent four hours on and off the phone to them trying to sort it...

Hi I have been without a phone now for two weeks, and talktalk say that the estimated response time is the 12 december, that is after stringing me along for two weeks saying that it is being looked at. I have had the usual excuses that second line support will call me back, which never happens, my wife had to stay off work for an engineer who never turned up.. I live in a group of ...

From reading other posts on the forum a lot of people suggest Sky/O2 if wanting broadband via LLU and i'm just wondering why people avoid or don't mention TalkTalk. Is there a good reason for this? I hope not because im being moved to TalkTalk Pro on wednesday and Talktalks the only LLU on my exchange.

Hi all, I have TalkTalk for a year and a 3 months (since Aug 200 and there is an exclusivity 18 month contract (meaning I need to pay the 18 month contract before cancelling, otherwise I have to pay 70 pound disconnection fee). However, late February I moved house and it seems that this resets the contract counter. I paid 29.99 house move and the contract was started again meaning I am in ...
I've had Be* Broadband in my flat for 2 years and it's been faultless but I've just bought my first house (hurrah!) and the exchange at the new house only has TalkTalk/CPW as an LLU provider. I've got two options; 1) Go with a BT Wholesale ISP but to get the level of service I got with Be* I'd need to go with Zen or Fast.co.uk - both of which are pretty expensive. 2) Go with TalkTalk and ...

Hi, I'd like to switch to the talktalk pro service but I have a poor credit record due to going bankrupt in 2005 (credit history since then has been perfect and I have a proper current account with overdraft facility and a well maintained Vanquis credit card). Has anyone else with a poor credit record (i.e. score) succesfully applied for talktalk broadband? I just think if they're ...

Just thought I should warn anyone thinking of switching to TalkTalk not to. I so wish I had not changed. Their broadband really feels to me like a dial up connection, the speed is OK (although not what I was getting before) but it just goes down so frequently it is beyond a joke. I was with Tiscali for phone and broadband with exactly the same phone line, wireless network, phone number, ...

I moved to NewNet from Nildram and discovered that once your son leaves school and starts night college and work that daytime bandwidth can just go through the roof (to the tune of 60gb). This caused large NewNet Bills and I'm now on O2 Access (8mb unlimited) package which is really badly congested at peak times (all weekend and evenings) Have a budget of £30pm (roughly) and I'm on ...

I have a SmartAX MT882 wired router which a friend gave me, after he had ditched TalkTalk. I wish to configure it to work on Plus.Net. I connected the ADSL line and power supply to it, but the ADSL light never lit. I then connected Ethernet cable and went into Firefox and was able to gain admittance to the settings. I assume that the ADSL light didn't flash because the settings ...

I always thought that you couldn't send an email from a different ISP. i.e. We use eclipse internet at work and my boss at home uses talktalk. He's been told that if we get in contact with eclipse and give them his IP address of his home PC, eclipse will allow him to send emails over the eclipse work email. I always thought this wasn't possible....

Although I do not condone theft itself, whether physical or digital, I do have concerns about the Digital Economy Bill especially in it's current form. If you wish to sign Andrew Heaney's [of TalkTalk] petition, follow the link and also pass on as you see fit: http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/dontdisconnectus/

My GF had talktalk at here last house and here we have Virgin Media. The talktalk let her call Sweden for nothing, but even with the pre-dial number thingy the bill for calls this month was £70, last month £95. Is there any other way apart for pre-dials and skype to save money on this?

Essentials is still an LLU package it's just capped at 8Mbit regardless of what you sync at You can also purchase a "Turbo Boost" which removes the 8Mbit cap so you get whatever your line syncs at - it's a good alternative to the Pro package if you just want a speed upgrade without the Wireless N Router and unlimited calls.

My elderly mother (in her eighties) and registered disabled had no phone or internet for 6 weeks. Fed up with the TT responses, the service was cancelled and any monies owed remitted. A few months later the TT letters arrived threatening legal action and bailiffs. Many letters were sent to TT asking for clarification as these costs. No reply. Finally, a letter was sent to TT ...

Hi Boristbear, Is it possible for you to post in the connection and stability section on the TalkTalk forums ( www.talktalkmembers.com/forums ) that way we can take a look at your line stats etc to see what is causing the problems for you. Cheers Em x
