Does it matter if the tv antenna points one way, or 180^ the other? You guys, especially Dave, have convinced me that I need a better (and thus bigger) antenna more than I need an amplified antenna. Does it matter if I point an antenna with several elements of different lengths to the station, or if I point it the exact opposite direction? In my attic, it would be more convenient to do ...

, I've been using my new 2250 Hauppauge PC-TV Tuner card for a few weeks now and I'm finally getting to know it a little bit. I like it especially sense it has opened me up to HDTV - High Definition TV sense I am viewing it on my flat panel PC monitor; it's quit an eye opener for someone not so familiar with HDTV. However, I'm noticing that the signal cuts out a bit and I'm sure that ...

The privious owner of my trailer changed-out the television antenna for a Winegard RM-DM46 satellite antenna. I do not use satellite and am trying to revert to a regular TV antenna. The problem seems to be that the holes do not line up (inside or outside) and the roof penetration for the satellite system is larger than that for a regular antenna...and the service shop does not recommend the ...

When I configured my tuner (with QAM cable input) with Media Center, it searched only for a digital antenna signal. (Another person had this same problem, but he was using an analog input.) Part of his post: status: scanning for digital antenna signal.... A TV signal was not detected. Please make sure a live TV signal is connected to the computer and try again. The problem is it only ...

Hi Johnscherer, Welcome to Microsoft Answers. It might be for one of the following reasons that it failed to find the cable signal • If you receive your TV signal through an over-the-air antenna, the channel might be temporarily unavailable, or you might not have reception. • If you subscribe to a cable or satellite service, your subscription might not include the channel you're trying ...

I have a dv5t laptop with Media Center HP ATSC/Analog TV tuner. The antenna connection input is on the side of the laptop shell. Unfortunately, the connector inside the antenna input is broke. Snapped off. HD antenna that came with the laptop does not p/u signals now. Can I buy a USB antenna that I can plug in and be recognized by the software installed on my laptop for the tuner/...

Just something to add: There is no such thing as an analogue or digital antenna. It is just pure marketing nonsense. Any antenna that receives TV will receive digital or analogue - there is no difference in the design. The term 'digital ready' is just marketing spin. I'd agree with others and say you need a decent outdoor antenna. Make sure if you get one it is either supplied by an ...
