This was my experience with this gun, from what I've read it doesn't seem to be typical of Kimber... The Kimber TLE II is really a stunning firearm. From the night sights to the black finish, lightweight hammer, that combined with the sheer weight of an upgraded traditional 1911 style .45 makes for awe inspiring when opening the case and removing it from the plastic for the first time....

I just put the first $200 down in layaway for my Kimber TLE with tac-rail. It will be my first pistol, and because of that I've been doing some research on it and have heard that some holsters will not accomidate the Rail, so Im looking for suggestions of holsters that will. thanks in advance for all the help.

Hey guys, well, I've had 1911's apart before, but never to the point that I had today. I took apart a Kimber TLE II that I just bought, all the way down to the last part. AND I put it together with relativly little difficulty pat on the back for me haha. In the past I've put the sear in backwards, couldn't figure how to get the mag release and trigger out... and a few other things. Only ...

A local gunshop has a used Custom TLE priced at $850; I don't know how old it is. The blueing is a little worn, and the dots on the sights are somewhat faded, but it otherwise looks okay. I'm almost ready to Dros my New Dan Wesson Heritage RZ 45, couple of questions for you Dan Wesson Lovers. Do the factory sights shoot point of aim? First decide if you want to carry IWB or OWB or both. For example I tend to go with a good IWB for primary carry and then another good OWB for when the weather gets cold and you can conceal easier under heavier clothing.
