I have something weird. I can't figure out if the networking department blocked chat on my device or the pre doesn't work well with WPA2 w/ TKIP w/peap and mschap. I can not log into gchat or aim via the corporate wireless. I guess it could be restricted, but no other device is restricted this way, so I'm leaning to the Palm Pre running into errors. I can connect to chat, on my basic WEP ...

I had existing desktop with wireless connection to above mentioned router using XP WEP-Personal TKIP and ran no problem. Just acquired brand new HP desktop and while I see network SSID and when I try to connect it tells me that it can't because it won't accept my key (which I Know I typed correctly and yes I tried several times.) Have laptop with XP and it works perfectly with same WEP ...

- PSP is updated to version 6.20. - Linksys WRT54GS v4 is updated to version 1.06.3. - I cannot connect using WPA/TKIP at all. WEP works just fine, however, I certainly do not want to run my network using WEP. I even tried changing the network mode from "Mixed" to "B-Only" in hopes that would work, but it did not. - I am not a Network Engineer by an means, however, I am certainly ...

Despite all the efforts, I have not been able to connect to a router that has a WPA PSK - TKIP protection. I am using Windows Vista. I have read that this is one of Vista's unresolved issues, and a registry key change is the only way to fix it. Is it true ? Is there a workaround ?? Some help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Mike

How do you get WEP 64, WEP 128, WPA-PSK: AES, WPA-PSK: TKIP to function, "connect", in Windows 7 Home Premium? "It was my idea to make wireless connections difficult in Windows 7..." now that my frustration is out of the way! (A) The problem is not connecting to an unsecured wireless network (which works fine) but rather connecting to a wireless network that is secured using the ...

can someone post a sample setup of how to enable an aironet 1100 for my network? We currently have WEP and no one knows the IP or anything of our unit. So, I need to reset and go more secure while I'm at it. I'd like the unit to be 192.168.100.225 when done, and we do not have a local radius server. Thanks in advance. I tried the Cisco website, but none of ...

Hi, I have a Cisco 3750 24 port switch that has a Cisco 1242 WAP attached. With option 1 turned off on the Catalyst 3750, I can connect to the Wireless Access Point using WPA preshared key TKIP. However, when we associate the Cisco 3750 to use option 1, the Siemens Optipoint WL2 phone does not get a valid IP address. I check the logs in the WAP and switch to trace the request for an IP ...

Hi All! I'm looking to replace a dead Wireless Router (a Netgear WNR854T, lasted less than a year) with a new WAP. The Wi-Fi is rarely used, but required. Only a couple users will ever connect at a time, but it needs to be solid, "always" up. WPA-TKIP encryption is what we used in the past and this was sufficient. I'd like to stay away from "home user" level ...
