My two week old got thrush due to the Penicillin we had in hospital for group b strep. It's been a week of nystatin suspension, nystatin cream, boiling pacis, washing in hot/vinegar water, using washrags for diaper changes, constant handwashing, taking probiotics, gentian violet and excruitating PAIN while BFing and it's not any better. I actually think it's gotten WORSE. Baby seems not to have ...

My new home dgarden has just had a visit from its first song thrush. Lovely bird. Enjoying lots of chaffinches and starlings just now. I have 4 blackbirds feeding regularly on pears and apples that I bought for them. They adore the pears. An old lady I was friendly with told me that she cuts up bananas and throws them out for the birds. I've tried that and they enjoy the bananas too....

I hope you ladies can help me... I didn't know where else to find more infomation. I have thrush and again and so does my DS who is now 5 months. He had it soon after birth and we were both treated, him with Nystatin and me with lotrimin and then diflucan. It finally went away after diflucan. I don't want to stop breastfeeding just yet but I wanted to know if there were certain things...

I have tried medications (nystatin, diflucan), gentian violet, walking around topless, monistat on my breasts and the thrush persists. I realized I am treating the symptom (thrush) instead of the problem (candida). So I started this protocol today. Please give me advice if I am missing anything. Disinfect binkies and clothes, towels, blankets. Off oral contraceptives 3 times daily ...

I saw this in my garden this morning and I cant positively ID it, I think its a song thrush but I think i'm just hoping its a Mistle Thrush. I could be wrong it could be neither. Sorry about the quality, it was taken early this morning through a window (with rain on) and with high ISO/slow shutter speed.

After eating different food over Christmas, bread and more sweet things, I now have thrush! Can anyone tell me which is the best treatment for thrush to avoid a possible flare up as well? I have only actually been well for about 10 days following an 8 week flare up so dont want it to start up again. It is not something I get usually but have had a few treats this Christmas. That will teach me...

Have any of you had thrush from anti-rejection meds ? I'm pretty sure I have it and I've never had it before. I did change one of my meds from cellcept to myfortec about a month ago so maybe it is from that. I take Nystatin already 2X a day so maybe they'll just up my dose. Any suggestions about what I can do before I can get in touch with my Dr. (can call Monday morning) are ...

Whats the best course of treatment. the pediatrican put baby on Diflucan for 14 days and gave me a script for 3 days and said to call my ob to get the rest of the 14 day supply. She said the ob may tell me I dont have to take anymore than the 3 and that I will have to fight for it. Why? Melissa

So I'm 99% sure that Letty and I both have thrush. I noticed (ok so my mom noticed...I have only changed Letty's diaper like 5 times since she was born LOL) a diaper rash in the middle of last week. After some of the redness cleared (we started with Hydrocortisone) you could clearly see that she also had a yeast infection (defined spots, raised, blotchy...). I was kinda hoping that it was just ...
I'm pretty sure that thrush has finally found us. Made it almost 3 and a half years with no thrush!! So, Ryker has white spots all over his mouth (mostly inside of his cheeks) and my BBs are very very sore. He doesn't seem to be in pain, and my pain isn't so excruciating that I cannot stand it, so I'm going to try the Candida diet, cleaning everything , air drying my nipples, perhaps some...

These were taken under full canopy cover under failing light from a ground blind. Although I have "shot" this specie previously at Bukit Tinggi I am rather chuffed with these as the conditions were more challenging - pushing the envelope of what the system can really do under most trying conditions. All shots with the 1D Mk3 + EF800mm in ambient forest lighting. 1/13s f/5.6 ISO3200 EV ...
