I can't believe it's been over ten years ago that King of Queens dvd box set first aired its pilot. That's a lot of water under the bridge. I can't really blame elected representatives for this decision. After all many people at that time - including many top economists - agreed with this course of action. If you read the article you will see that only few frindge groups put up any objections. Economics is really not a science where people can agree even on fundamentals. And also hindsight is 20/20.

I remember Bill Ilett talking to Boise media not longer after the ABA mess tipped off, when there were questions being asked about the CBA and the Idaho Stampede. Ilett borrowed a Bobby Dye (former BSU coach) quote... "They don't know that they don't know." While I know the CBA died twice and the Stampede had a hiatus, I know where they are now... and I know that quote still holds ...
