Just wondering which Toyota wire I should use to power the external coil for my TBI? I took a picture of the three wires, and there's one of the coil itself. The gray connector is the 12V coil power supply, the large pink wire goes to ignition "on" power for the distributor, the white wire is hooked to the tachometer. The black connector has the smaller pink and white wires which goes to the...

My 95 chevy has the TBI big block in it, and it has a miss to it. Runs great down the road, and doesn't miss at all, however when giving it very light throttle it misses pretty good. At idle in park it has an intermittent miss. At idle in drive, its very smooth with no miss. Accelerating it has no miss. On deceleration, there is a miss. When in park I can give it some ...

Have a 1990 with 3.1 TBI engine. Fuel pump + filter replaced about a year ago. Well maintained (plugs, wires, dist. cap+rotor replaced/in good shape). Fuel pump relay energizes when key on and when engine runs. I hear the fuel pump whirring in tank while relay is energized. It always starts, but only runs for a few seconds each time (about 2-5 seconds). I removed the plastic cover on Fuel ...

Okay, so I'm pulling off the intake manifold and valve covers to change gaskets and hopefully fix a couple of problems. I also have sitting here in the garage my new (to me) 4.3 TBI that I want to install. I figured since I'll have the intake manifold off, I'll run it down to a machine shop and have them bore out bigger holes. My question is this: I want to test my engine with the ...
