I have Sympatico at home. It's usually fairly quick, but certainly never been that fast. Lately I've noticed that it's getting slower and slower. Can't use Youtube anymore without it cutting in and out while it buffers. Has anyone else noticed the same problem? Has Bell somehow downgraded Sympatico's performance so that you have to subscribe to a faster service they have (...

Hello. I'm pretty new at this linux game and I've been hunting around trying to figure out what my problem is here but haven't managed to solve it myself so I turn to the internet hordes. I have bell sympatico internet, a speedstream 4200-series modem and fedora 9 installed on my sony vaio TX-series laptop. When I first plugged the modem in everything was great, but I messed something up ...

Sympatico/MSN Finance is getting ready to launch a blog. We hope to offer personal finance observations and tips with a focus on Main Street, not Bay Street. We need your help in finding a name to reflect that. Please send us your suggestions.

This is strange, but I've noticed Michael Douglas says "Sympatico" in a lot of his movies. He says it in Wonder Boys, Romancing The Stone, and King of California. Seems like kind of a strange word to say so frequently, I wonder if it's a gimmick or something. There are things that go bump in the night, and we are the ones who bump back!

Anyone else experience this? I'm on the Sympatico High Speed service, under the grandfathered 'unlimited' plan. Every month the price is $45.95 + 2 modem rental. This month, though, it's $50.95 + 2. WTH?

I am in Florida, just got hooked up to a local Internet Provider. In Canada I had Sympatico, I had endless problems, talked to India 20 times, at least, a week, was ready to throw HP and Vista away, go Apple. Here, a DREAM, Zero problems, perfect, will not go Sympatico when i get back.

Call their tech support. The last time I called a few months ago there was a problem with the line and they fixed it. Also, every once in a while I have trouble getting my modem to connect. I call them and it's almost always promptly resolved. They reset something on their end and it fixes the problem.

Are you paying a fee for the dry loop service or is Bell giving it to you free? How much are you paying for Sympatico in total? If you switch to Teksavvy, it'll cost you $30/month for 5MB DSL (200GB cap) plus a dry loop fee. It may be cheaper than Sympatico, and you'll end up with the identical product with better customer service. Quote: Originally Posted by...
