Ok, it has been over a month. I did manage to video tape the behavior a couple of times but when I play it back it does not look "aggressive". More like growling play. It really helped to video tape it and play it back because it looks nothing like what I was feeling. I am not sure I want to sign up for another website to post the video. It there is another way to just post it, please advise...

My dh grew up with dogs and his experience was that male dogs were more aggressive. So when we got married, we got a female lhasa apso/poodle mix. She is a sweet dog. Fast forward two years and we took in a male maltese/poodle mix rescue. He is the sweetest little dog and very submissive.
