So I ended up doing something for the 1st Fresno Swede Festival after all! Shot and edited in a night, pretty much the day before the fest! Haha. The reference is a little obscure I suppose, but we sweded what I consider the *CLASSIC* ED-209 scene from Robocop. We had a good turn out at the fest too, around 50 people squeezed inside this little art gallery in downtown Fresno. They all ...

Deerhunter's thread prompted me to take a wee closer look at the comparison between the .243 Winchester and the 6.55x55 Swede (both of which I am a 110% fan of). Now I know the bullets and fps. etc. I chose can be argued but I tried to get to a fair comparison between loads that would be typical in the deer fields. The . 243 load - Hornady 95gr. SST, BC = .355.... at 3100fps....

Ok...I needed to start a new thread. Does anyone own one of these? I saw one today at Sportsmans Warehouse and I REALLY liked it. I own two CZ rifles and love both of them. But neither of them are deer hunting calibers. I would like to purchase a CZ in a caliber that I can deer hunt with and this might be it! If you are wondering what I like about them so much? With my 22-250 it is ...

I saw a Very Good to Excellent pair of Swedish 6.5mm arms for sale nearby; one was a M1896 rifle and the other was a M1938 short rifle. I chatted with the owner and found out what he was looking for in a swap. I came home and dug into the heap and went back and swapped even up. Both arms were threaded at the muzzle. I had two screw-on muzzlebreaks that cover the threads and make the arms...

All you have to do to get a long thread going is mention the 6.5x55 or.260 Rem. I looked at the same Swede CZ this year but bought the .308 Varmint laminate which looks exactly like the 22-250 in the above photos. It is a beauty and the laminate stock looks great in grey. In a caliber wish list poll, Savage Shooters wanted the factory to start making a 6.5mm again.

Quote: No finer rifle cartridge exists than the 6.5x55 Swede !! I agree, no matter what your shooting, if you don't hit in the kill zone your going to need a second shot. I m sure if and when you use a larger gun and get a non kill zone hit, just means you don't have to walk so far in the bush to find him. But still who knows how far that ...
