I have a Marantz 2285b which has been working flawlessly during the 8 years I've owned it. It is part of a group of 3 Marantz receivers that I use for my home theater set-up. Recently, it has started to cut out when the volume or bass are turned up too high (not that high). It will click back in when after a few seconds if I turn the volume down a bit. Is this a problem with output transistors, ...
I am an audio noob and just starting to put together a headphone setup. I have read and received various recommendations on what to get and not to get in terms of power. The most common and somewhat conflicting/confusing recommendations I get are: 1) If you have a good power cord, you don't need a power conditioner. A good power cord will already do sufficient filtering and improve sound. ...

I don't know if this is the right forum topic to post this under but it seemed like the most suitable one... Anyway i have seen many websites around the net with xbox360 owners saying/claiming that using a surge protector or double adapter to connect the xbox 360 power supply causes harm to your console or something around those lines? Or that if your console ruins then it is your own fault and ...

Quote : i had used the power supply several times before i had plugged it into the extension block. What i had done was undervolt the power supply, and thats what killed it. Or the block pulled too much energy and thats what fried it. Undervoltage can be destructive to electric motors. Undervoltage does not harm electronics. Numbers. Voltage drops below 5% are bad for electric motors. Voltage ...

Walmart has some for $10 and Overstock had 2 packs for $5. Overstock had a lot of different options that were really really cheap. Search there first. If it's out of stock, set a reminder right on that page for when it comes back in. They are in and out multiple times within hours sometimes, if not a day or two.

Thanks. I think I'll try the surge protector first. It seems like something I can do myself. If I have to think about changing caps, I might just take it to someone.
