Tim Brown tweeted that if there is a trade close it is not with the Rays. The major thing I am looking at besides stats though those do help. Rowand 3 yr 36m Bradley 2 yr 21m If it was a straight accross trade that is a savings of 15m dollars. Plus opening up $$ for 2012. The possibility of flipping Bradley if we wanted to eat some of that 21m is there too. I would try to keep him and see ...

I heard the Rays earlier on the radio but I can't imagine being remotely able to afford him this year, let alone a meaningful contract extension that he will surely demand.

Hunter pence would be great, the Braves need a another utility guy too. What about Maicer Izturis of the Angels. 300 average hitter and can play 2nd, ss and 3rd. We would still need a 1st baseman but we would have about 6mil freed up. By trading Soriano for him. But if we could get Hunter I would do that first. I just don't think the Astors will trade him for a one year closer.

you miss my main point which is how expensive will Cameron be? He will likely have several suitors and if he is going for 10 mill I am not sure he is worth it. We could just resign church who is right handed and an adept fielder. He will cost far less and serve as a great backup if Heyward is deemed ready. I missed your point because there's no way that Cameron, at age thirty-...
