You know - the kind you get in the jar where there's like 6-8 different sprinkles, colored sugars, etc. for the different holidays? My Wilton Christmas one is from 1999. Since it's 10 years old, I'm wondering if it's still safe/good to use. There's no expiration date on it. But it's been 10 years. I'm planning on making the Candy Cane Kisses (Blossom) Cookies with the Candy Cane Hershey ...

I'm in the middle of choosing a fat burner, and the top 2 options are ECA and lean xtreme I was wondering whether the ephedrine and the cortisol blocker would actually have an effect on my blood sugars?

I ate dinner tonight at just before 7pm. Took sugars now at 9 and they are 12.1. What do you do? If you're not supposed to go more than 10 hours without eating, yet the sugars are too high currently and eating may raise them higher... what's the option? Get up at 5 am to eat?!?! help!

I had control over my sugars for a long spree then I hit one of those growth spurts where she shot up in weight and size and my insulin resistance shot up as well! I hate it when it does that (my insulin not Mera) Im up to 30 Nph in the morning 10 in the afternoon and 30 at night! NEVER in my life have I been full of so much insulin! And for a small orange I have to do at least 28 units of ...

I am convinced we have a yeast problem with rocco, he has been on JWB various flavours with rice and along with his sardines yoghurt oils etc and over this past week his coat seems to be really picking up now. All the advice on the forums suggests grain free is best, but i have seen, also on here, that cereal and grain free food are full of sugars which is a trigger for yeast (i have also read ...

I've heard that a mom who has low blood sugar while breastfeeding can cause the baby to become fussy, but I haven't been able to find out why. Has anyone else heard this or found research on effects of diabetes and breastfeeding as it relates to the milk and effect on baby? The only information I find is that breastfeeding can cause low blood sugar (which I have experienced).

Hello everyone, I am taking antibiotics (see signature) for the next few weeks until surgery. I was hospitalized with a perforation in the small bowel, which was the reason they put me on the antibiotics in the first place. I am also on an all-liquids diet until the surgery (happy hollidays!!) I was thinking about taking probiotics after the antibiotics are done so they don't work against ...

I've been low carbing for about 6 months now and I am nearly at the lowest weight I think would be healthy for me. (I do wish I could get rid of a little more fat around my middle though ) My blood sugars are good and I don't see how losing any more weight at this point will move them any lower. So my question is how do I stop losing weight without increasing my blood sugars? If I add more ...
A question has been puzzling me for a while and I couldn't figure out the answer. It is based on my current understanding of: Initially when yeast is introduced into the dough, it consumes the readily available sugars from damaged starch in the flour. Fermentation then slows down until more sugar is produced by the amylase enzyme and then the fermentation picks up again. So the ...

The last 2 batches of CC cookies turned out flat! The butter was firm when creaming it with the sugars and the baking soda was fresh. The cookie sheets were cool before putting more cookies on them. I don't know what else it could be. I made a test cookie, added some more flour when it was flat, and the second test cookie was just right. However, the rest of the cookies turned out flat. ...

I haven't been here in a while, but I'm getting fed up. I eat insanely healthy. No sugars. No dairy. No refined carbs or anything. When I do eat carbs, it's whole grain. I stay away from super sugar fruits and only eat apples and berries. I drink nothing but water and jog daily. What am I doing wrong? Why isn't my skin any clearer after several months?

Quote: Helping a fungus have sex could lead to better ways of making biofuels, scientists now suggest. To make renewable biofuels instead of manufacturing them from the sugars in food crops, researchers want to employ organisms that can make use of the hundreds of millions of tons of cellulose in sawdust, weeds and other plant scrap that would otherwise go to waste. One...

Hello Tea is a very good diet as well, especially if you drink a lot of cokes. I went from drinking about 4-5 cokes each day to 4-5 cups of tea (Green & Black), without any sugars or sweeteners and I did not change my eating habits at all. I did not change my exercise habits either. The weight just starting falling off. I highly suggest this to everyone. Thanks.
