Hi all, I've always wanted to see a Sufi ritual performance, I know there is one in Delhi every thursday, but unfortunately won't be able to be in Delhi on a Thursday this upcoming trip. I'm not hugely familiar with sufism, but I've seen it on various television documentaries, where they play great music and people dance or sing themselves into a trance like state. Can anyone recommend ...

The Sufi Naqshbandi Shaykh Asif Farooqi has been arrested by police in Manchester. This is very shocking, since he lectures only on spirituality. Does anyone have any further details? http://www.thisislancashire.co.uk/ne...error_suspe ct/

This is a new song out by me in collaboration with Electric Sufi. It was mixed on Sonar 8 with much of the composition on Reason, rewired into Sonar. All the MIDI sequencing is in Reason with audio clips recorded and sequenced in Sonar. Reason was rewired track to track in Sonar with Waves API compressor and EQ on each track. Some effects are routed out to a Korg Kaoss Pad 3 using ...

This restaurant is great. We had the best meal there. The staff is so warm and the atmosphere is relaxing but still very elegant. I tried to searching for it before on this site, but it was under Porta Fortuna's Sufi Restaurant. Would be easier to find with the restaurant name first, then the location... just a suggestion, but a MUST try in any case!

Hi Mamas: I stumbled across these online and thought they might appeal to some of the Moms here. Jataka tales are Buddhist tales from India. Swat was a paradise on earth before its merger with Pakistan. The seeds of hell were sown in its soil when the Pakistani agencies started using Sufi Mohammad as their puppet to ask for the restoration of an obsolete legal system which was promulgated for the city state of medina considering the Arab Bedouin culture into considerations. Major Amir - an ISI stooge was used to back up Sufi Muhammad ...

According to the Sufi text, twinship is a gift. The gift may be accepted hesitantly at first. Realization of twin-ship is a process, a path of discovery, opening steadily and widening into recognition. The twin may be encountered on several occasions before true conscious recognition happens. These occasions prepare the personality to deal with the intensity of the connection, as well as with the...

The enneagram is an ancient system for self-development, believed to have been an oral tradition of the desert mystics called the Sufi. I learned about it almost 20 years ago, through a series of weekend retreats by progressive Catholic nuns, the Cenacle sisters. Since then I've been using it for my own personal growth, and because I find it rather effective, I want to share the enneagram to ...

( Many might have thought to respond but Manoj has expressed it well and took the lead. How about 26/11 at Mumbai? To see again yesterday in TV on how so many people were mercilessly shot at in close range left a sickening feeling and anger towards our incapable Home and Defence forces. No other country would have sat and watched helplessly and kept quiet thereafter. India is the only country ...
