Is it possible to share a printer among Subnets as follows: There would be a 8 port switch with a printer (with built in ethernet), several users, a couple of 4 port switches and a wireless access point connected The 4 port switches would also have a several users connected. Is it possible for all users (except for those using the wireless access point) to have access to this printer? ...

Hi all; Can anyone please tell me whether they know if the Cisco 850's support configuring different LAN IP subnets, per FastEthernet switch port? I worked with a Cisco 837 which couldn't (although enabling the DMZ functionality did give extra segment). PS. If it can't, how about the Cisco 870's?- Thank you

Is there a tool similar to the sitebound.exe tool for SCCM 2007. I have about 800 subnets spread across the world and would like to add them in one go.

I have one primary site and multiple secondary sites.  If run a network discovery it looks like it is only discovering the correct subnets as seen below in a portion of the netdisc.log: SIM: Using configuration: [Network Discovery]~~Subnet Include=172.23.100.0 255.255.254.0,172.24.100.0 255.255.255.0,172.24.0.0 255.255.255.0,172.24.200.0 255.255.255.0,172.23.200.0 255.255.254.0,172.23.0.0 255....

[ Log in to get rid of this advertisement] I think I managed to get dhcpd working so that there are two subnets: Home subnet (fixed ip via mac address in 192.168.254.0/255.255.255.0) and Guest subnet (from dhcp range in 10.0.10.0/255.255.255.0). This is a linux box in the lan and it has only one interface. It along with the rest of the machines on the lan are connected to a ...

Based on my current measurements I wouldn't hesitate to run at least a /22 (1022 ...

Are you allowing icmp otherwise you break path mtu discovery?! Can you monitor if RST packets are being sent by pfsense to the .140 network? Are you sure that ssh on pfSense is not running on that port(ssh:22)?

Yes you can implement communication. The HWIC-1FE is a single port fast ethernet module. The HWIC-4ESW is a 4 port fast ethernet switch. Instead of configuring an interface (w/the 1FE) you configure vlans on the router and assign one of the fast ethernet ports (from the HWIC-4ESW) to the vlan (just like a layer 3 switch).
