For a while, I have been developing a gallery for my site. There is no way it can compete with flickr, smugmug etc ... It is not meant to be such a gallery. However, I have put a lot of time into the search feature so it stands apart from other pre-canned software that forums use. I would love to read your thoughts on the way it works. They are implying very obliquely that they are a 'good' photographer, and you (implied 'poor photographer'), won't get their results by copying their gear. You kind of have to know the cliches to avoid them, I see time and time again, shots from people who have no idea what's "been done" do it again and do it great. There is a downside to too much info I guess... Great links.

Now that these guys have blazed the trail for a flickr group publishing a book with member's photographs, I expect we'll all be getting our HCSP picture books in a couple of weeks or so.
