I installed an addin for excel. I then created a simple form in an Access db and in the code editor window, I went to Tools...References and picked the add-in as a reference. I made this last night so I thought I'd share. This script rakes yahoo finance for stock quotes and stores the results in an array. Its not extremely sophisticated but it works. Re: stock-quote download and store I can't help you with everything but this stock downloader works great- though you'll need to manage the download length, etc. Depending on your worksheet, you may want to change ranges that the data is imported into.
