I have collected a lot of arts and crafts items over the years and now I am starting to clear some stuff out. I have this sideboard that is in decent condition but missing the back/top peice. I was wondering if it is a stickley piece and what number so I can pass this on.

Hello Joe here from Orlando, Florida a friend asked me to list this Stickley table on ebay starting at $350. I explained to her that the table was probably made in the Late 30's or early 40's and I wasn't sure of the valve, so I am decided to ask an Expert. Mr. Taylor can you please let me know the valve of this table? Thanking you in advance Joe in Orlando Answer Joe - There have ...

Found this L&JG Stickley #538 lamp table in Denver last month. Simple cleaning and wax and call it a day! The seller of the fireplace screen (next post) had one table too many and let this one go. Works great with the other furniture now in the house.

There is a Stickley Brothers Dining Table (#2670) and six chairs (#332 1/2) for sale on Craigslist in Boulder, CO. I went over to the seller's house to check it out. All the pieces are marked Stickley Bros. There is a highlight thin black paint line on all the edges, appearing to be original. I know that Stickley Bros did paint some of their furniture later on, but a "clean wood" version of ...

Lauren carried the box containing the information and notes about Heath into the study and spread them out on the Stickley library table. Somewhere in these stacks of papers lay the answer to his death and more importantly, the answer to their future together. Lauren checked her notes and placed the documents which she had read on one corner of the large table. The remaining group was ...

On Wed, 23 Dec 2009 02:05:19 -0500, the infamous "Bill" scrawled the following: "SonomaProducts.com" wrote in message ... Chairs, in some ways are the pinnacle of woodworking. Subtle variations in gemetry of design can make them comfortable or not. They require perfectly executed joinery to withstand the enormous racking pressures they will experience when in service and the ...

Cooling is more of a problem than many people realize. I keep the doors open when the system is on. One of the features we were looking for in a console was tambour doors, and the Stickley has them. Schvitz

Gary, I can't help with the bubbles in Poly as whenever I used to use Poly, I would have the same issue. I don't like poly on fine furniture for 3 reasons. 1. It is difficule to apply, it runs and it leaves bubbles. 2. It yellows over time 3. It "crazes" over time. Most fine furniture manufacturers (including Stickley) use Lacquer as their finish. You can get a spray booth and...

Wow! You folks are having a lot of fun out there. I would like to make a few points. 1. I have mentioned numerous companies in my posts. How many spammers that you've seen talk about more than one company? Companies that I have recommended include H&M, Stickley, The Keeping Store, Universal (one particular solid wood dining table), Flexsteel and several others. 2. The vast majority of ...

Allison - We really don't even go in the antique stores anymore. We had a booth at Galleria Antiques back in '07-08 to sell off everything from the old house. When you go from 1920s to 1950s MCM, a lot of the old stuff doesn't work. We kept an A&C grandfather clock and a Stickley Bros. costumer, but that's about it. The thing about MCM -- and this open floor plan in particular -- is it...

That’s a fine rocker there too. Stickley? Stove + rocker + good book + family home but not disturbing me = blissful contentment. What the heck. I’ll take two out of four any day.
