Here is the video I made showing the cutting of the clearance hole in the X Axis stepper mount with the LMS 4" rotary table. First time I have ever done anything this complex on a mill. I know it is kinda cheesy but at least I was successful in making the part. RWW YouTube- Stepper Mount LMS Rotary Table.mov...

I am working on a project to use a stepper motor to pull film and then stop and take a photo of the frame. I have a stepper Bee controller and motor and everything works fine with there gui interface tool. Now what I am looking at is making a VB script that I can control the motor. They provide a dll file for the stepper controller and lots of doc data but is confusing to me since never used VB ...

Hi folks, Well, I ordered boost/oil temp/oil press gauges from Prosport via the recent groupbuy. Had a mate round to fit them today and after running all the wiring etc, we can't get the gauges to work properly. My mate has installed a few sets of gauges (different makes) without any problems. The boost gauge (in PSI) was below 0 (mate said it should be sitting...

I am hoping to get one of these steppers my physio/rehab place has called a NuStep. I was a full paraplegic after having my son nearly 5 years ago and after a roid run I got minimal use of my legs back and am still considered a paraplegic BUT I can use this machine and got back muscle! It's very exciting to me because I couldn't use my legs in a cycling type way - I don't just mean like a ...

Hello All, Here's my problem, I just finished getting my Scratch Built CNC Router done. My first task was to level and slot my bed for the T Tracks. The slots were all off by more than 1/4" on the X axis only when done. I attributed this to maybe improper step calculations or maybe back lash. After redoing this a few times including using the auto calculator in MACH3, I still continue...

I usually do the elliptical, but it's getting boring, so I was thinking about switching it up for today. Maybe I'll do the exercise bike or the stair stepper? What do YOU do, and is it getting you good results? 0 Replies

I've been getting up to speed on 3D printing and I'm less than enthusiastic about it as an investment vehicle. Clearly the technology is a great idea, very useful, but, where is the moat? 3D printing is a machine that has three stepper motors (same kind of motor that drive the read/write arms in hard disks) and it deposits molten plastic or metal powder on the printing surface. The other day...

Hi All, Does anybody know how to measure stepper motor torque? This would allow me to send a signal after specific torque is applied and can be used as a machine referencing signal without a use of a probe. Many thanks for ideas in advance! I was going to create a poll to see who was using what, but I needed to provide a list. So instead, I might as well just ask, what is the most popular board used between the LPT Port and the Stepper Motors. Does any one have a list of the top 25 suppliers? I would have thought this would be out here, but I have searched this board and found nothing. Carl
