I was going to use my 30% off coupon to put lowers on my 2008 FLHTC, but after talking to 2 Ultra owner (both 2008s) I'm having second thoughts. They have both had stators overheat resulting in charging system failure (one has had it twice), both fixed under warranty. It just makes me wonder if the lowers contribute in any way. Have any other Ultra owners experienced this problem? Any ...

Are the gsxr stators interchangeable between those years? I know the 750 and 600 take the same part but not sure between those years. k6-k7 is 31401-01H00 k8-k9 is 31401-01H10

Three guys I know of have had their stators malfunction on '08 - '09's. All three are those that have removed their lights... those still running their lights haven't had any issues. I'm no electrical guru, but could this common link (light removal) be at all valid? A local AA HS racer thinks so after going through a couple stators, he now mounts a working bulb inside the airbox... no ...

I have two 1996 Polaris that need stators. One is is a 1996 SLTX with the old CDI and stator. From my research I would think this should be updated to the kit #2873091, is this correct? The other is a 1996 SLT780 I see this replacement stator on Babbitts to be a part #3240270. I do not see an update kit for this. Can I or should I use an update kit for the SLT780 ...

Burning up stators? Ok, I have a 04 450R and love it, absolutely no problems at all. The only thing is that I keep burning out stators. I only had one go out completely on me. The others just get brown/ black from heat probably. I don`t get it. I use the bike for mx in the summer, and trails in the winter. I only have the stock lights on. The only thing I can think of would be the ...

It's a fourth-Gen, notorious for electrical problems. I thought I had it all sorted out years ago, but this seems different. I don't think it has to do with the regulator/rectifier. I've swapped out R/Rs, stators and batteries and nothing changes. I have a little LCD voltmeter that's always attached so I can see what's going on. Things it does: Highest voltage at idle, in the 13s. ...

There was a thread here a while back asking folks how many stators they had installed or the number of miles on their original stator. Should be able to find it with a search. IIRC, EdAlbris had over 75,000 on his original. But he's in UK where the temps are cooler. Many folks think heat has a lot to do with stator longevity. Member in Phoenix replaced his stator twice, the ...

Just keep in mind that you cant draw too much power from the ski. The stators generation coils are rated and fused at 10A at 12V. That isnt a whole lot of power... Even adding an additional battery wouldn't help, unless its is completely independent and charged externally. I dont know what those blowers you speak of draw, but id say 4 of them is going to be way too much...

I dont know about rotor. More than likely a salvage yard so will have to do some research I guess unless anyone here knows. Good luck
