from: http://www.newsmaxhealth.com A new treatment for swine flu may already be on pharmacy shelves — cholesterol-lowering statin drugs like Lipitor and Zocor. A large study found that people who were taking these drugs when they caught seasonal flu and had to be hospitalized were twice as likely to survive than those who were not on such medicines. This doesn't prove that statins can cure flu...

The risk of death in patients with flu was reduced by statins. Red yeast rice is an over the counter statin so it's easy to get. Be warned, though, mycotoxins have been found in some brands so caveat emptor. I've taken red yeast rice when my statin prescription lapsed but buyer beware. Patients taking statin drugs were almost 50 percent less likely to die ...

I got stopped by a cowboy cop while driving on the West Shore Expressway in Statin Island. He was a one-man show. He did it all. From a stopped position just past a bridge he clocked me with a Pro Laser handheld unit, dropped the unit down on the seat and plowed his way onto the expressway to run after me. He had hid hands full on this one. From being stopped on the right side of ...

Interesting that one type of statin would cause panic attack issues and another does not. I wonder what it is in the statin that causes this. I am feeling better on the Zocor/Simvastatin than I was on the Pravachol/Pravastatin. And my Cardiologist also told me to take 100mg of CoQ10 twice per day from the very beginning. He said that your body can only metabolize ...
