My 1997 Classic with 16K miles has a fuel starvation problem and I am asking for suggestions on how to handle it. Originally, the mc rode well but died at idle, so I followed the FAQs and cleaned the carbs. That worked great – the mc idles well. Does anyone have any knowledge/info as to starvation mode and more importantly, how to recover? I gained a bit of weight while training to run a marathon and in response dropped my calories. The potential to end up with students on starvation diets at 5 years old is a huge risk IMO. Schools both here and in the UK need to get control of their school canteens first if they really want to be taken seriously.
